What is NextCloud?

nextcloud

Introduction

Nextcloud is an open source software that allows users to build online storage like Dropbox or Google Drive.

The web screen is multilingual and can be displayed not only in English but also in other languages.

Compared to online storage and file sharing services such as Box and GoogleDrive for enterprises, it is highly functional yet low-cost to operate.

Software Features

Sophisticated file management features

In addition to basic drag-and-drop file upload and simple browsing of specific files such as text, PDF, and video, the software also has the ability to generate URL links and transfer files to third parties, as well as a full-text search function.

Plug-ins and Apps

In addition to the basic functions, Nextcloud allows users to install many functions called plug-ins and apps. Currently, more than 180 plug-ins and apps are available. Plug-in apps such as calendar and task management can be used to further enhance document management.

Nextcloud is capable of withstanding high volume of users and large scale environments.

Nextcloud has already been introduced and used by universities and companies in many cases throughout the WorldWide. It can be used for tens of thousands of users in a large, redundant configuration.

Dedicated mobile apps are available free of charge
